    Simplest burritos:

    4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    1 jar of good salsa

    Cook, shred, eat on tortillas.

    Pepper steak:

1 pound of steak of your choice
    1 green pepper
    1 onion
1 can condensed tomato soup (like Campbell's)

Slice peppers and onions into strips, layer ingredients, dump 1 can of water on top, cook until done, serve over rice or mashed potatoes.

    Barbeque pork sliders:

1-2 pound pork roast (sirloin, tenderloin, etc.) cut into chunks
1/2 bottle smoky barbeque sauce (Sweet Baby Ray's is a good one)

Cook pork until done, shred and drain, then add barbeque sauce and cook for an additional hour. Put on slider buns or dinner rolls.

I found a lot of recipes here: http://www.365daysofcrockpot.com/p/recipe-index.html

Some are more calorie laden than I am willing to eat, but some are great.

    2 cans rotel tomatoes
    1 can black beans
1 can pinto beans (or chili beans)
    1 can red beans
    1 can corn

2 cups lima beans soaked over night rinsed and simmered for 2 hours in 8 cups of water
    Add
    8 stalks celery chopped
    1 Onion chopped
    1 Cup mini carrots chopped
1 lb diced chicken breasts or ham if you are not vegetarian
    1 Tsp minced garlic
    1 Tsp oregano
    1 Tsp rosemary
    1 Tsp thyme
    Simmer for another 2 hours

That was a recipe from a couple weeks ago. Change the beans around for more variety. I used a 15 bean package this weekend, but I like the limas better. If your beans include a seasoning package, THROW IT AWAY...or use it for rat poison ;-)

In a crockpot you will need to add another cup of water and cook on high for about 8 to 10 hours.

If the liquid is too much for your taste add a half cup of barley and simmer for another hour or two.

    Try:
    2 lbs brisket
    1/2 cup ketchup
    1/4 cup grape jelly
One pouch onion soup mix (powdered)
    Honey to taste
    Salt pepper to taste

Cut brisket in half place one half in cooker
Place half of the ketchup and jelly and soup mix(dry) on it spread evenly
Place second half on top and repeat

Cook on low 8-10 hrs or on high 5-6

    Save the broth for leftovers

I usually serve over a salad and use the broth as a salad dressing.

The salad is how I justify the red meat!

Easily feeds four people for dinner!!!

Trust me on the grape jelly I don't like the stuff but it works!

I saw this link a while ago (good selection, and the links take you to other blogs with even more recipes, so it's a good starting point): http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/11/26/slow-cooker-recipes_n_1029031.html

#1 Rule of Crockpots/Slow Cookers - DO NOT put frozen meat in there. Because it heats so slowly, it's unlikely to kill *all* the nasties in there.

Don't risk your health or the health of your family by not defrosting meat before slow cooking it.

Oh and don't try and reheat stuff in it either. Same reason. Stay safe and enjoy it (I love mine!)
