Girl--I am right there with you. My baby girl just turned 5 months, too. She is an August 29 baby. I dunno what's going on, I'm eating healthy and working out... no budge :(

Hello, I am breastfeeding my baby who I had in December. I am adding 500 calories as that's how much the NHS say you burn a day. Are you ladies doing the same? I have 27lbs to lose by June for our holiday :#

Megdtuttle-I was looking at your profile picture saying wow she looks great! Awe that's awesome your baby girl is 6 days younger than my son :-).

Emma- Yes I was told the same thing and that we lose 300-500 calories a day while breastfeeding! That's great. 27lbs is a great goal, good luck :-)

Isn't it crazy how hard it is to lose weight, celebrity's make it look so easy lol

Omgsh I gained 47 pounds while pregnant! I started at 140 and ended at 187. I've lost 23 pounds of baby weight so far, but I'd like to be back to 140 hopefully by my sons first birthday in August. I ordered a Bellefit girdle and that worked wonders!

My fitness pal and breastfeeding has helped me lose 21 lbs since November. I usually go a little bit over my daily calorie limit (200 or so calories) to make up what I am burning by breastfeeding. Also making sure to drink lots of water!

Yes im nursing my 13 month old still i managed to lose 25lbs. use this calorie calculator and put in your goal weight instead of current weight to see how much you should be eating http://www.freedieting.com/tools/breastfeeding_calorie_calculator.htm. Change your goal to that number and shoot for it. dont eat back calories from exercise.
I CANNOT lose weight if i eat too little. It doesn't matter how healthy I eat it will not budge and i have even gained weight from eating clean but not getting in enough calories. Also make sure you are drinking enough water.

Kdcosc, we have similar stats - I was 145 and gained 48 pounds during my pregnancy! I've lost just over 20 pounds so far, and my goal is to be back to my original weight by my baby girl's birthday in July. :) I wanted to get to 6 months breastfeeding before I started worrying about weight loss, so just getting back into MFP last week.

Wow! 20 pounds! Congrats on the weight loss. I completely agree with you on waiting until 6 months postpartum for weight loss. I'm just nervous about getting heavier which I feel I have been lol. What has been working for you? I really have to work out daily in order to lose weight.
