A different kind of goal weight?

What are your lifting goals? Do you have specific end goal weights in mind for certain lifts? Do you have goals each time you go in? Do you just want to get stronger in general?

I'm not looking for advice. I'm just curious, so please tell me all about your lifting goals! Thanks! ☺

    I only really had two lifts with actual numbered goals, the rest are just progressive load goals. I wanted to barbell squat my body weight, and deadlift 150% of body weight for three sets of 5 reps.

    I've achieved both, so I've now reset my targets to 110% body weight for squats and 170% for the deadlifts - again for 3 sets of 5 reps, and I'm just plodding away towards those targets.

    I've not been lifting for long, just over 9 months with the barbell, and I'd started from not a lot, plus I'm small and light, so I initially found it was horribly overwhelming to watch form videos, watching various things on you-tube etc to see really strong chicks moving enormous weights and feeling totally pathetic. I personally feel it's helped my focus and sense of achievement to set myself actual numbers which are based on my weight as a goal.

    I know how you feel.. I had to start with just the bar on some of this stuff, but I've been keeping at it and am super excited to be getting stronger. I've only been at it a month or so, and I can't wait to see where I can go. Way to go on meeting your goals by the way!!

    Would love to hit the 3-4-5 (300lb bench, 400lb squat, 500lb deadlift) I hit 400lb squat just before christmas, but I'm still well away from the other two.

    I have a few small term lifting goals. I made it to one of them recently, 150 squat, though I'm going to lower the weight again and work back up since my back is being cranky this week. Body weight squat would be sweet and I'm working on lowering that weight as well so maybe it'll be easier to reach, lol. I'd like to get to 100 on bench, but failed at 90 so had to de-load. 200 is my goal for deadlift and I'll be trying it on Friday.

    Right now I'm following SL, so my daily is focused on that program, but I might switch things up end of month and also add in a gradual 5k training.

    Short term, I want 125/75/175kg squat bench dead.

    Long term, I don't have goals. I will always be trying to add that little bit more weight to the bar.

    My biggest lifting goal right now is to add several pounds to my max lat pulldown, so in essence strengthen my back and biceps. Although I've improved my bicep strength some lately, I''m trying to get better at lifting heavy things that require arm strength. Likewise, I'm also trying to improve my bench press stats, although I'm not sure how much more strength I can develop with the current size of my muscles.

    Short term: BW bench (about 5 pounds away); 225 front squat (probably now within about 10#), BW clean & jerk (15-20# away), and 125# snatch (probably about 15# away). Long term: 405# DL & 315# back squat, as well as body weight overhead squat (50# away).

    Finally getting my shoulders (the joints) healthy again - been doing mobility work. So, the bench numbers are starting to climb. When I started I was pushing 22kg on DBs and then a shoulder injury meant I was down to 10kg or less. Finally, I'm using 24kg DBs and planning on trying 26kg next week. Bloody hate injuries. :|

    My goal is 30kg by end of the year. (For comparison, my BB bench press was 60kg last time I tried - that was when I was using 20kg DBs!)

    My 2015 lifting goals are:
    Deadlift = 400lbs (current PR 322x 5 reps)
    Yoke= 500lb (current PR of 400lbs for 50ft)
    Farmers Carry of 180/ hand (current PR of 150lbs/hand)
    Overhead Log Press 130 lbs
    Squat = 315lb (current PR 250lbs)
    And to work on my overhead and overall shoulder strength (I had a rotator cuff tear this past year)
