My 44 inch vertical jump

I wasn't going to share this out...but, whatever.
I've been adding vertical jumps to my routine to change things up a bit. I hit my limit the other day by doing a 44" vertical jump. No trips to the hospital either.

Troll, comment, blast, rage, whatever makes you happy. Figured I'd share for S&G

Wow, impressive! I worry about 2 steps and going face first!0
-
Crikey that's impressive...I do jumps during Insanity but nothing close to that!0
-
Nice work. What was your starting point?0

Very impressive. I'm taller than you by probably 3-4 inches (based on scale when you stand in front of the step) and just can barely make a 40 inch jump. Good job!!!

Hah thanks everyone!
@Kashton2011 - I always worry about falling on my face or jumping right into the stack, especially when people walk by and watch haha. Everyone is probably like "What the hell is this AZN dude doing in our yoga room.."
@amandarunning - yep, insanity was a slight part to why I started doing them. I figured I might as well put those jumps in insanity to use!
@Packerjohn - When I first started I went in doing 28 inches. And just kept increasing by 2" each time.
@ninerbuff - thanks! I probably should have listed some stats, but I'm 5'9" on a good day lol.0 -
Just wow.0

Good job.
I have a scar on my shin about 1.5" wide and 8" long from missing a vertical jump. Peeled the skin right off.0 -
Good work!0

Wow. Totally impressed. I started with just the aerobic step itself (shake head...) and am up to the 20" side of the box now. I can't even fathom doing the 24" side, let alone jump on something that meets your eyes. Whoa. Congratulations.0

Well done! :drinker:
To the point made above, here's what a "formal" vertical jump at that number looks like....

Wow, that's impressive! (puts my bench jumps to shame)0

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the replies. It keeps the motivation going, it really does.
@CarlydogsMom - keep it up, you'll get there in no time
And thanks for the info on the "true vertical jumps". Next time I'll just call it short AZN dude jumping on yoga stair steppers and didn't go to the ER.0 -
I know I can't jump that high. If I could I would be dunking in basketball. Good stuff man.0

Amazing!!0

Fantastic. With my arthritic knees I can barely jump 6 inches.0

That's awesome, I do vertical jumps after my deadlift sets, my best so far is 34" after deads and 38" stand alone. I'm going to start doing single leg box jumps. My goal is to be able to do at 32 what I could do at 18, dunk a basketball as a 5'11" white dude. Still have to get back to that 180 range though.

NICE!
I'm tempted to try...
..or, then again.
