overweight and trouble getting pregnant?

Hi everyone. I just joined a few days ago and I have about 140 lbs to loose. My hubby and I have been married for a little over 3 years now and have been trying to have a baby. So far we've had no success. I'm convinced its because we're both fat. Any other ladies out there having trouble getting preggers because of their weight?

    I would check with your doctor before you make an assumption..there could be other factors to the situation. My mother is over weight and she has had no problem conceiving three healthy children. I hope this helps in any way xx

    I have had 2 miscarriages and doctors don't know why. 11 years apart and both were unexpected and not planned. Went to see a specialist and they advised me to loose some weight and then try. But I agree you should see a doctor before you make any assumptions. Stay encouraged and let me know what you find out. God bless

    I had a miscarriage in 2009 too. My doctor never gave me an explanation either, just told me to try again. I think I will go see my Dr. again look into it a bit further. If they just tell me to loose weight I think I'll scream. lol!

    I have a condition called PCOS and was told that I could never have children because of it, I lost 40lbs and got pregnant. Unfortunately I lost the baby later, but the weight loss regulated my hormones to make it possible. Sometimes beig overweight can affect your hormone levels. Good luck!! :)
