Hello, I wanted to know if anyone else has flat feet and bad joints? I find it hard to want to do cardio b/c of these injuries, has anyone have any tips on how to cope with this kind of pain?

Hey there!
I used to have similar problems.
Feet: Get good shoes and get custom made insoles (mine cost me about 20 euros...). Good shoes in combination with insoles made the biggest difference to my shin splints.
Joints: Knee braces (again, get fitted or try different ones) and try to start out with cardio that isn't as harsh on your joints like cycling and the crosstrainer (instead of running or the jump rope). Also try to strengthen your muscles. More strength will also help to stabilse your joints.
Make sure to consult with a doctor if the pain doesn't seem normal or like too much to you!
Hope this helps a bit!0 -
What about swimming, aquacize, pool running? (I don't know if bad joints includes shoulders...?)
Definitely the flat feet can be accomodated with the right shoes and maybe insoles. The people at your local running store can hook you up with some suggestions.0 -
I have those insoles and special shoe, but it seems to get worse. Thank you guys! I can't really go swimming(don't have a pool) and gyms are super expensive. But Ijust wantedto make sure I wasn't missing something I could do. Thanks!0

What about a recumbent (like sitting on a chair) stationary bike? That's as close to non-weight bearing as you'll get out of the water. In the next couple of months you could probably score a cheap one on Craigslist or your equivalent (if not US).0

Thanks! I think that would be a great idea!0
