Hello, so I was wondering if it is bad to snack at night even if i have the calories? the past week or so i have been getting pretty hungry at night while I am trying to fall asleep (time varies due to the amount of homework i have to get done that night). I'm not necessarily craving anything in particular, just hungry enough to feel like i need to eat and tea will not satisfy.

If you have calories to spare and everything falls within your chart go for it the time you eat does not matter just the calorie intake.

Try to save some calories during the day so you can afford a snack at night. If you're hungry, you should eat something.
  • I save a few hundred calories for snacks at night. Usually a 100cal amount or a piece of chocolate/cheese or something filling x

Timing is irrelevant. Try pre-logging, to make room in your allotment for those snacks.

No problem at all - I usually eat my main meal of the day late at night. As long as I eat in a deficit I still lose weight.

It's not bad at all - as long as it fits your calories.

I try and actively leave myself a couple of hundred calories for late night snacks if I can, because I get so damn hungry late evening.

I save calories. What I'm starting to work on is saving carbs

I am eating a huge bowl of veggies right now at 11pm. I naturally prefer eating most of my calories in the evening and at night. No biggie. I also eat most of my carbs at night for satiety and general preference purposes (easier to graze on throughout the evening than protein and fat for me)

I just try to eat something light, have a glass of water/tea.
Most times I feel best in the morning if I wait until then though... not sure why.
