...and having the best results of my life.

33 M, married with 2 kids, type 1 diabetic and with a BMI of 30.3 I was (1st Jan) classed as obese!

6 weeks on Low Carb High Fat and I'm 6kgs down from 89.5kg. My first target is <80kg, planning to review body fat levels and go from there.

LCHF has been incredible for me, the easiest weight loss I've ever had.

Hi Classic, the best source for info I found is dietdoctor.com

If your safe to do so (no health conditions which can be affected by this) then aim for no more than 50g of quality carbs a day max and 1g of protein per kg of body weight (so 80kg = 80g protein) and eat as much proper butter, olive oil, coconut oil, double cream, full fat soft/hard cheese as you can enjoy. I track my food out of habit and aim for 80%+ calories from fat, 10-15% protein, 5% carbs.

See how it goes, weight each week and the scales will tell you the rest. No weight loss? Wait a week, then consider reducing protein and increasing fat.

The hardest part is eating enough (fat is very satisfying), and eating enough fat! Dietdoctor has a great intro section and lots of useful articles.

    Enjoy and good luck!
