I am allergic to soy and whey. Can anybody recommend protein bars that are free of both and that are decent in terms of nutrition and taste?
Thanks much!

I'm allergic to soy too! So,any people are and just don't know it. So sorry, but I've yet to find a protein bar that is soy free. Been looking for years... I'm allergic to all legumes, so nuts don't work for me either.0

I can't tolerate whey/lactose or gluten. I eat Dale's Raw Protein Bars. No preservatives (if that matters to you), decent profile. I order them when they're on sale, as they are a little pricey:

Oskri date bars are really yummy. 1 ingredient = Dates.
As for protein bars, their nut ones are gluten-free and I don't see whey in the ingredient list. Disclaimer: I'm not a whey expert!

Eh, This Bar Saves Lives also appears to be GF and ... I don't see whey on the list for the blueberry ones, but my whey disclaimer still applies. But, ehhh, maybe not so much protein.

I'm not sure if these protein bars will help, but i'll post them anyway for others that have the same issue as myself! Since I had surgery, I started eating these Think Thin protein bars

I also had eaten Quest Protein Bars as well: http://www.questnutrition.com/
I don't know if these will work, but they have no sugars in them and are gluten free as well! I would give them a try, just to see if anyone will like them. I love the White Chocolate/Brownie Crunch kind for the Think Thin. I love the Cookies N' Creme/Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough for the Quest Protein Bars. There are other flavors for both products! They have tons of protein as well!0 -
Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I googled it before I posted, but you know how it is: Recommendations are always better than a search

Just FYI (and for maybe people who are reading this in the future): I went to Giant last night and tried "the GFB" (the Gluten Free Bar); they are also soy- and whey-free and taste awesome. 12g of protein, which is decent, too. I bought the cranberry toasted almond. Also great for when you crave something sweet.0
