Why does it only count calories for Cardio and not strength?
I lifted weights, planked, abs, for an hour – but no calories are recorded. Reaching out to see what others do…

Search weight lifting or strength training in the cardio section and you will get a calorie estimate.0

I wear a heart rate monitor when I lift and I keep my heart rate up by working during rest periods.0

Does the garmin 110 with heart rate monitor track all calories burnt when weight lifting?0

HRM monitors are not reliable for weight lifting.

When I started I never recorded any weight training exercises, but I allowed myself to eat back all cardio calories, knowing they were high estimates. I lost at the rate MFP said I would.0

I still try to eat 1200 calories regardless of what I burn. But just would like to know what I am burning when I work out. I wear the MizFit Shine but it doesn't monitor heart rate, just steps.
