Depends on your height, weight, age, body fat percentage, and activity level.

You and I share similar stats. For what it's worth, I'm 5'8", 170-ish pounds, and 32 years old. Also lightly active. I lose 1 pound a week pretty consistently at 1700-1800 calories as long as I'm logging accurately.

In the end, the only way to know for sure is to try it for a few weeks and adjust from there.

Your daily calorie burn is estimated to be somewhere between 2000 and 2300 calories a day. You should be fine at that 1760 calories a day. Stick with that intake diligently for about 3 weeks and track your weight. At that point if you want to be losing faster, decrease calorie intake, if you're happy with it, then keep it how it is.

Just depends on your body. I'm 5'5" around 130 and I maintain on 1800 net. Try 1760 for a few weeks and see if you lose. If you don't, bump it down a little.

That's just with hitting 10,000 steps. I can eat more when I run or lift.

If that's what mfp is telling you, it should be pretty accurate. You may have to adjust up or down depending.

It also depends a great deal on how accurate your food logging is. Make sure to use a food scale so you're as accurate as possible (avoid measuring spoons and cups). Also be careful entering excersize calories as some machines and mfp can over estimate.

I started using this site/app roughly a month ago. I was 5'8" 186.5 It has me on about 1700 calories a day and I've dropped 5 lbs. I would also say to try and get in 30 minutes or so of cardio a day as well. That usually gives me an extra 350 calories a day which equals a snack or some sort of treat which helps keep me motivated.
