hi - this is new for me so bare with me! I feel like I have known I've had cravings forever, but recently I've noticed how often I'll give in. A struggle of moving to college and its new found freedom, I guess. I was just curious as to all of your guy's opinion about using chewing gum to control the impulse eating and bordom eating? I've heard it's good and bad. Thanks!

Chewing can be useful, but honestly speaking - I would address the root cause of why you are binge eating.
If it's boredom then find some productive things to do.
Ask yourself, "Am I really hungry?"
Sometimes when you feel hungry, you are in fact thirsty!0 -
If it works for you, then go for it. I personally hate chewing gum as I end up chewing faster and faster until I start biting my inner cheeks. Even better, start chewing baby carrots or grapes or cherry tomatoes.0

I'll use gum to keep myself from eating - particularly if I'm at someone else's house and they have lots of snacks everywhere. At my own house I can find something healthy or find something else to do (like pinterest lol) but in another person's home I am usually stuck in the midst of all of the food - and having it offered to me persistently. So I chew gum0
