Hi, I'm 49 and determined to be healthy by the big 50! Need to lose about 50 lbs. Have started back on a Paleo diet with an exercise program but it's hard. I used to kayak and hike all the time so didn't have to "exercise" which is so boring to me. Now, after re-injuring my back, I have to start slowly and patience isn't exactly one of my virtues. Glad to be part of a group who is struggling along with me.

Good for you! When I was 50 I announced the same thing and have now lost 60. , it can be done! I recommend a Fitbit or other tra kernel that communicates w Myfitnesspal so you can watch calories in and out. Less calories in and more calories out is the only way to lose weight. 3500 calories = 1 pound.
Best of luck to you0 -
Thanks Tom! Sorry, I just saw this. I forget about it I guess. Congrats on your weight loss, that's awesome!!
