Good day, MFPals!

I recently joined after losing over 100 lbs with Noom Pro. Still have at least the same to lose again. Decided to join because I felt like I was missing out on a much better in-app community.

Abridged back story: ended up ridiculously overweight after an industrial accident put me in a tailspin.

Here now to build a base of friends for mutual motivation and to share in one another's success...

Cheers,

Gibb

Hi there! I'm Sara I have about 50 lbs to lose but I'm not sweating the scale too much, I'm in need of support from friends always as I tend to get discouraged easily. I'm into the fourth month of my journey only been on MFP for about 2 weeks however and I haven't lost a significant amount of weight, hopefully MFP helps!
Before your accident were you overweight? I have been overweight my entire life, I'm excited to one day see my body underneath all this extra weight
Feel free to add me so we can support each other!!

Hey, Sara! Yea, I've been overweight all my life as well, but I still played sports and had an active lifestyle before the accident. After it my weight went off the scales whilst I was housebound and on medical steroids. I'm looking forward to finally being a healthy weight too and I'm pretty sure I've cracked it this time.
    I'll add you now.

    Hi Sara and Gibbo!
I'd like to join you both on your journeys, I'm currently 129lb overweight although so far this week I've lost 2.2lb (hopped onto the scales this morning!). I've never been a particularly sporty person and have a recurring ankle problem which often means I'm very inactive - the only thing I do every day, rain or shine, is to be out in the woods with the dogs.
I'm like you both in that I've been overweight all my life, I remember being the biggest in class since I started school and its continued from there, there have been times when I've lost some of my weight, even got down to goal once, but there were issues surrounding that and somehow it all crept back on again.
How long did it take you to lose your 100lb?
I've been with MFP for a while but somehow I never seemed to manage to keep it together for long enough to see a difference, but this time feels different - my scales, MFP and .
Fitbit are all synched together and now I can see everything at a glance.
I'd love to be part of your support/motivation group.

Of course, Mindy, consider yourself added.
It's taken me just over 12 months to get 50kg (100+ lbs) off. That's without a significant increase in my activity levels. Hopefully that'll only get better when I can start training properly.
