Pregnancy weight gain

anyone have any tips on how to adjust settings to tailor pregnancy? I want to make sure I stay healthy but still get enough of what my baby needs. I set it to weight gain mode and entered the amount of weight my OB wants me to gain but I don't see an option for the duration of my goal.

You should ask your OB how many calories you should be eating and then manually set your calorie goal to that level. MFP is not set up to allow a certain amount of gain over a certain amount of time. You could average it out though. If you need to gain half a pound a week, set your goal at that. But I think your OB could give you a better idea.
  • I'm having to gain pregnancy pounds too!! I started out at 135lbs. Lost and gained... Then lost. And I'm 21 weeks and only 137 pounds!!
Went to the store today and purchased 100 dollars worth of high protein healthy snacks, since it's easier to snack than eat for me. Lots of granola and bananas. Spinach smoothies and almonds! My goal is 10 pounds in a month. Idk if that's realistic but, it's got to be done!! Healthy weight gain here we come!!! qmsyo7us6ybu.jpg

When I was pregnant I kept reading that woman who are preg should be eating around 300 to 500 extra calories a day. I gained 35 lbs when I was preg and my son was 9.5 lbs. My dr assured me that my weight gain was fine and I lost it all in 2 mo. I ate pretty healthy but honestly did not watch what I ate. Every preg. is different so I think the best you can do is eat health but don't deny what you feel your body needs, and if you are losing weight after your first trimester, def talk to your dr. Congrats on your pregnancy!!

There are some calculators online that can help give an estimate based in your BMI. That's what I've been going by for my basal calorie goal.
