Popcorn
Boiled Egg
If you like yogurt.
There are single servings for 100-150 calories. You can also get plain Greek yogurt and add your own fruit, honey, vanilla, and granola to up the calories.0 -
Thanks everyone. I eat most of that. I think the only thing I haven't included so far is the cheese or popcorn.0

Eat 50 or 100 calories more during meals other than snacks?

Can you get out of snacking habit by sticking to the 3-4 regular meals per day? It may take a few weeks, but you can get out of snacking. If I need a snack, I eat pre-measured quantities of roasted almonds and raisins. It is OK to snack once in a while, so long as you log it in.0

Avocado is great, too!0

Thing is I answer phones all day at work. So I try not to eat at my desk. I think it would be a little gross and rude if I answered with a mouth full of food.
I work from 8-5. Then when I leave at 5 I go to meet my husband and help him with the janitorial service he has.
Daily routine:
alarm set for 4:25 A.M.
jump on my mini trampoline for a 20 min Rebounding work out
shower
eat breakfast
wake the kids for school
prepare whatever I will be taking to work that day snacks, lunch, water...
out the door just after 7A.M.
So should I be eating more for breakfast and lunch AND snacks???0 -
I don't snack much but always include a decent amount of protein and fat in my meals - I find if I've done that, snacking is a non issue.
My occasional snacks are:
Cottage cheese/maple syrup
Plain yogurt/banana/chocolate chip
Apple/cheese
Celery/peanut butter/banana0 -

If you read my last post. You'll see it's not easy for me to snack. Should I add one of those options to breakfast or lunch?0 -
I'm not sure if I have a great picture of what you're asking for - you want to eat more calories but in a way you feel is healthy? For me that means eating more fat usually. I eat olive oil, salmon and full fat cheese daily and if I have extra cals it always goes to wine.0

Yes. I want to meet my calorie goal but in a healthy way.0

From your original post, I thought you wanted snack ideas. Are you asking for lunch ideas that you can pack to work? Dinner ideas for home? Dinner ideas for in the car?0
-
There's nothing wrong with snacking multiple times per day. In fact eating often keeps you feeling satiated, and you're (generally less likely to binge). I'd suggest pre-planning your days with snacks and regular meals, and you'll maybe find things a little smoother.0

I wanted ideas because I keep falling short of my calorie goal0 -
I just want to do it in a healthy way. I leave the house just after 7 A.M. and don't get home until about 8:30 P.M. So of course I don't want to eat that late. I just throw something together in my Nutribullet.0

I was just hoping for a better idea of what you're looking for, so I could give better suggestions.
If I were running on your daily schedule, I would have a good breakfast of your choice, for me I would go with approximately 20% of my daily calories. I would have a lunch including some sort of protein like cottage cheese, or a sandwich. I would plan on an afternoon snack like a Greek Yogurt or something similar. For supper I would pack food from home. If it were me, I would cook something on the weekends for the first few days of the week, and cook something in the crockpot mid-week for the last few days of the week. Something like Mexican Chicken (throw 3 chicken breasts in a crockpot with a large jar of salsa, a rinsed can of black beans, and the same amount of frozen corn. Cook then shred chicken with forks and return to pot. Serve with rice and sour cream. Can also be served in a corn tortilla with cilantro, lettuce, avocado, shredded cheese, and or sour cream). I'm not sure if you're feeding your kids for supper after you get home.
Oh, and I would have a snack in the evening, fitting them to my macros. (if short on protein, then more protein oriented, for example)0 -
Depending on the amount of left over calories you could incorporate rice. It will run you 600 to 800 calories per 1 dry cup (yields a lot cooked) and use soy sauce and veggies.0
