Calories burned

Whenever I go to the gym and use the elliptical, bike, or treadmill the calories burned listed is always way different from on here. For example, at the gym last night I did 30 minutes on a bike on a semi high weight and it said I burned 175 calories. When I entered it in on here it said I burned ~330. That's a huge difference. Which one is more accurate? So far I've been going off of the gym equipment. However the gym equipment at the rec I go to is *kitten* and it wouldn't surprise me if it was wrong.

I use what my gym equipment calculates. I have to manually adjust this app each entry.

I use a HRM, though I've heard that the MFP estimated burns are very high. The usual advice is to cut MFP estimate in half (which would be what you got from the machine).

Thus people only eat back a portion of the burns, because they're not accurate.

You likely overestimated your intensity when you entered it into MFP.
