I have the Polar Bluetooth plus. Its identical to the Nike+ that is out there for iPhone, except Polar is an Android version. I love my HRM and would HIGHLY recommend getting one for yourself if you dont have one yet!!

I have a garmin right now and don't really like it since I have to stop to take my heart rate and that just annoys me. I looked on walmart.com and found one with a chest strap that I want to get for my birthday. I can't remember the brand name but I do know that the price was just $86.00.

From a lot of people on this site I've heard that Polar are very accurate. Whatever you do, do not go with a Timex.
  • I don't really know much about mine yet, as I just got it... but the brand is Mio and its a watch... amazon it... lol... I liked the style of it... its something that I would wear out and about... so lets hope that its all its cracked up to be

It depends on how much you want to spend. You will want one with a chest strap, they are the most accurate. Big 5 Sportingoods sometimes sells their BOWFLEX HRM for about $30. I have a POLAR F11. It's a bit pricier, but it logs more info. You can spend quite a bit on them. Amazon is a good place to look at prices.

I just received my Oregon Scientific SE833 in the mail last Friday...Mother's Day gift to myself. So far I've got it calibrated and completed my fitness test and really like it. Time will tell, but it has the potential to do all the things I want it to: GPS, calories burnt, fat burnt, milieage, pace, etc. I found a great deal for it on amazon, so I'm hoping it's not too good to be true.

I have the Sport-line 1060 Duo and I want desperately to love it but I am apparently not bright enough to understand how to find my calories burned! I'm usually pretty good at stuff like that so I am beyond frustrated! :)

I have a polar Ft7 and a Garmin 210. I LOVE them both. the Garmin has GPS and you may not need that.
