exercise ideas

I hurt my ankle a couple of Sundays ago, and I guess it's worse than I thought. My doctor told me absolutely NO running until I heal, so I need some ideas for exercise I can do at home. I have an exercise ball, a treadmill, and some light weights. I don't really have any access to a gym, so I'm kind of limited in what I can do. I've been doing punches for cardio this past week (along with lunges, squats, and crunches), but I'm getting kind of bored and need something new. Any ideas?

My zumba instructor told me recently that a couple years ago she had some injuries to her feet and could not stand to instruct class. She taught her classes sitting in a chair. She did all the upper body/ waist movements and some tapping of feet and she said it was a great workout and she was very sore. I would imagine anything like that could be modified to do from a chair. Good luck and hope you heal quickly!!0

Does your cable have an exercise on demand channel? I find mine really helpful in mixing it up so I don't get bored doing the same exercises over and over.0

My mom does chair aerobics and she loves them. Send her an email at ladychi306@gmail.com and she will let you know what she uses and all.0

Thanks all! I hadn't thought about any type of chair exercises, but I'll be looking into that for tomorrow morning!0
