Hello I started exercise and diet several weeks ago, and to begin with I lost weight five kilos to be exact. However, since I have been counting calories with my fitness pal, which has been two weeks now, I have actually gained a kilo.
Help! it is making me furious.

    Hello there,

Are you eating the correct amount of calories for your height/weight? (the Harris Benedict Equation is a good way to gauge this). Your situation isn't really making a lot of sense to me if you've been counting calories and restricting, in conjunction with exercising. Then again I'm not a doctor or a specialist in fitness.

What are you doing differently now after using My Fitness Pal than you were before using it?
  • Thanks for replying I am slack in not replying.
I am not going to give in, but I do have an underactive thyroid and I am sure this makes a difference. I could loose it easier a year ago, but my body must have slowed down even worse. Nevertheless I shall keep on keeping on.

I have an underactive thyroid too, but I don't think it ever stopped me from losing weight. My medication should make the thyroid work properly anyway. Basically, you need to restrict calories and boost your metabolism with exercise.
  • That is what I am doing, can't do anything more. Still, for all that I feel well
