MFP guidelines for Fiber and Sugar

I think is quite a bit off. I am allowed 42 grams of sugar a day and almost always go over. Fiber one bars have sugar, so doesn't ice cream, even greek yogurt has 19g of sugar. I am almost always over for fiber as well. Even pasta sauce has sugar. Anyone else find a problem on these two?

Yup, always over for me too - esp when I eat a lot of fruit, but, I figure as long as it's natural sugar, and not the refined stuff, it's ok - your body can break down sugar from fruit!0

Oh, and it's good to have fiber, too - just not too too much or you might have some tummy troubles - let your body guide you!0

Some things MFP recommends are minimum recommended allowances. Fiber is ok to go over on, but you can reduce your sugar by limiting things with sugar in it. Sometimes you can opt for more homemade foods, make your own sauces, replace fiber one bars with other high fiber foods that contain less sugar, etc. One or two servings of fruit a day should keep you in your allowances, but anymore and you will go over.0
