    Just click on a persons name the link will take you to their profile where there is the request buttons.

    I just tried to do that with yours and it won't do anything. Should I do this through an actual browser or is the app itself supposed to be capable of this?

    I'm new to this too. I think if we are trying to click on names it won't let us on our phones? If you painstakingly get out of community, click on Friends, click on the + button up top, click on email, and then type that persons profile name, it allows you to send a request. A ridiculously laborious way to friend request, but the only way I've found on my phone. Otherwise I'm not sure what I'm missing either!!
