    I think its fairly safe to roll them over for a day or 2 but no longer. I know some people who do pretty big workouts burning 2000+ calories and there is no way they can eat all their exercise calories that day, its also fairly understandable that they would be hungrier the next day...I guess it depends on how many calories you are talking. Calorie cycling/zig zagging does do this in a way, 1000 one day the next day 1500, third day 1200 etc but averaging out at X amount of calories over the week...its supposed to keep your body guessing
