Being way over one day and way under the next

Hi all!
I haven't had a very good few days food wise. I didn't even log yesterday's food choices, and I didn't finish logging the food the day before that, because I knew I wouldn't like what I saw. Well, today, I planned out my food and exercise, and I still have 600 calories left. Would it be okay for me to be so under this day, since I've been way over the past few days?
I've had a pretty stressful past few weeks, and I'm trying to get back into better eating habits again. So, I'm hoping this problem won't arise any more. Thanks in advance!!!

Some people do something similar to this on purpose. It's called calorie cycling or calorie zig zagging. I don't think it will hurt you. The theory behind it is that it keeps your body guessing and you are less likely to get stuck in a plateau.0
