Why have I gained 2lbs in 2 days?!

Shouldn't be water weight - I drink 3 ltrs water daily, low sodium and never ever use extra salt, sugar comes from complex carbs only. Working out daily, but highly doubt it's muscle YET. Haven't changed anything, I track EVERYTHING I eat down to what seasoning I use, in correct measurements. My diet is naturally low in calories anyway. So why?! I'm furious!

Settle. Weight fluctuates due to many factors. It could be that you worked out harder and your muscles are retaining fluid for repairs, it could be hormonal, it could be weather, it could be that you're coming down with something, you may have inadvertently consumed more salt than usual. It could be a huge number of things, but the one thing it won't be is fat, so calm your farm.0

This.
Calm down-- your post reads like you're hyperventilating. Here, look at my weigh-ins for the past few days (I'm in maintenance):
Thurs- 123.2
Fri- 125
Sat- 124.6
Sun- 123
You can try to control for all the variables but you won't be successful. Fluctuations are part of the deal.0 -

Thank you guys. Just very frustrating as this has never happened to me before for no reason. Also feel like I haven't got time for this, I have targets to meet lol. But if it's 'the norm' I suppose I can cope lol0
-
Ps. I do actually feel fatter, which is worrying0

-
I just wonder why though. With how much water I drink and how super low my sugar/sodium intake is (have a look at my food diary).
Oh well, no worries. I'm good now. Thanks for ur help0 -
I have gained 2 pounds since the 23 of Jan 2014.
Not close to what I was led to believe by the formula used on this site.
I have learn never to go by the formula on here because it has NEVER been correct.
Yes, I account for the five weeks out thing they base it on.

are you due on?0

Nope not due on, I'm already 5 days in0
-
so you are currently menstruating .. TOM water weight .. leave it till a few days after your period ends and weigh again0

Oh I thought that only happened the week before & not during? If it is just that I can relax. But I'm a bit upset because 2lbs is a massive setback (mentally) at this stage in my plan. But never mind. At least I'm not the only one. Thanks!

Normal daily fluctuations, relax.0

Reyonce, your diary is closed. I hope you're feeling calmer about things. I also hope you see that normal fluctuations are par for the course. Please don't put a lot of undue stress on yourself. Are your targets gradual and allow for normal fluctuations? If 2 pounds is a "massive setback" and people can easily gain 2-5 pounds for no reason I am concerned you are going to be a basket base before this is all over
What is your current weight? How much are you trying to lose and by when? Discussing those things may help you not to feel like this very often going forward.0 -
Am liking the fury. Shake your fist as well. Maybe even start juggling with a 3L bottle of water....0

How do u make ur diary public?
It's just never happened to me before, or if it has, I've never known about it! Just took me by surprise but after reading the comments I'm fine now thanks
I need to lose 24 lbs within the next few months and can't afford any setbacks!0 -
If you are female your weight will can easily fluctuate 1-5 lbs during the month depending on where you are in your cycle. The week prior to and during your period it is common to hold on to water weight.0

I never lose the TOM weight until after I stop. (I was down 2.2 lbs this morning after being up last week. Started Wednesday, finished Saturday.)0 -
poop.
really, think about it.0 -
I weighed myself Sat am, naked, after bathroom, -- 253.4lb. Before bed, after dinner, fully clothed, including slippers -- 260. I did not gain 6 lbs in 14 hours!!! Many things will cause temporary changes in the scale. That's why I weigh every other day or so, but only record weekly.0

I gained 7 lbs in 2 days and haven't been able to lose it in 2 months. Explainations? It definitely isn't water weight0

Not to be gross, but water weight isn't the only possibility. If you are at all constipated that will add up. If you haven't gone for a couple of days that could be a big chunk of the 2 lbs.0
