Need some motivation? Catch the International 7s Live from Vegas on NBC Feb 14 & 15
Watching these incredible athletes always gets me motivated to pick up the pace. There are introduction friendly versions probably closer than you think. Adult non-contact (Touch) rugby is growing in popularity and there is probably a group in your area that meets at least on a weekly basis. Could be just a Google search away...
I played 15s for 20 years and now coach but in the summer, I get together with some old boys & girls and play touch once a week. Great cardio and there is usually a social after.

Touch rugby is a great workout. Grew up with rugby. Not a fan these days but will play touch rugby for a run around.0

I feel I need to represent South Africa here since uhm the Kiwi's are first again lol
I haven't played any form of rugby for 23 years. Would be nice to play some touchies though.0 -
All you need is a ball, a field and some willing participants. Touch is the easiest thing to teach. Some rules apply, as it does make it easier to manage and put the competitive edge back in. The group I play with in the summer is a co-ed, all ages. We had a 12 year old and a 65 year old playing at the same time. Still got great cardio out of it. Social media these days makes it easy to reach people too. Then there is the old, show up at a park on a Sunday afternoon on a nice day, start playing. If you build it, they will come.

Love rugby!
Younger sons play tag as they are little. Older son plays full contact. But all play some touch rugby too.0
