Hoping to start a new way of eating, and find something active, I enjoy. Currently a couch potatoe and would love to feel better. I have a lot of trouble with night time eating.

I remember when I first started. At first it was a chore, then it was a habit, then it was a lifestyle.
You have to get healthy eating and exercise to the "lifestyle" phase as soon as possible. Right now, you are a "couch potato", right? That's a lifestyle choice. Make the decision to change that and become fit and healthy.
If you make the decision to be committed, the rest will be much easier for you.

Welcome,
I know it is hard. Start slow. Not too much change at once or you feel overwhelmed. You said you are a couch potato so start with a step tracker and set a goal. They say 10 000 steps a day but since you are very sedentary maybe start with 5000 and up it every week. Also cut out drinks that have calories and start on water for the first week. Small steps will go a long way. Good luck.0
