    Struggles/successes this week: I have just finished a seven day stretch of working evenings at work. The struggle I encountered every night was the snacking after midnight.. I was able to hit the gym for 5 out of 7 days definitely a success.. On to the next week..

    Thank you! I sometimes do get a little overzealous. :) I have been doing core exercises (not anything too crazy, planks and crunches and that type of thing) and I actually think that helped my back. But I have terrible posture, and a standing desk at work. I catch myself letting my abs and back slump, and resting my stomach against the edge of my desk, and I think that is a big part of the problem. Plus I moved a lot of furniture over the weekend and kept forgetting to lift with my knee. I took Saturday and Sunday off from working out and will keep it light today. Slow progress is better than none!

    Struggles/successes this week: I am happy with my progress in spite of two days this week where I blew over my goals...Sat I went to a Pampered Chef party and had no way of even guessing my caloroes. Apparently it wasn't as far over goal as I thought. Lol. My challenge has been getting to the gym due to weather.

    Hey I've struggled with my weight for a whole now. I've been down to 128lbs and over 200lbs. I would like to get to 140-145 and maintain that but I'm currently 190-195. 50 pounds is easy to put on but not so easy to get rid of.

    Struggles/successes this week: I was expecting to see a gain this week since I was so bad Superbowl weekend. However, I struggled this entire week and I'm shocked that the scale didn't go up more. This week I need to re-focus myself, get my will power back and get on with my weight loss. I ordered a fitbit on Friday and I'm very excited for it to arrive. I think using that will help motivate me even more to reach my ultimate goal.

    Hey everyone!!! To folk who have just joined us on this thread - welcome along!!! Anyone & everyone is welcome to join us at any time. This thread is all about your own goals, support & motivation.

    I try to read all the posts (seeing as I started this thread, it would be rude not to!) but as there are now so many of us, I'm only really able to do some general replies. I always except friend requests if anyone wants to add me (please mention the Feb challenge when you do).

    Anyway, well done to everyone who updated this week - whether you had a good loss (some people lost 4 - 6 lbs - I'm a wee bit jealous!!!), a smaller loss (ahem, only 0.5lbs for me!!!), stayed the same or had a slight gain. Whatever your situation, you are being accountable and you are noticing what works (or doesn't) for you which will help towards future success.

    I'm feeling the comedown from a mega successful sober January (13.5lbs) and February so far seems like a plateau for me. I think after 5 weeks off the booze, I hit the red wine with a vengeance and my body did not like that so I'm going to have to be careful there. Now, my choices are; stay off the booze, 'save' calories for wine or increase the exercise....well, I don't think I can live without red wine permanently so I'm going to indulge at the weekends and up the exercise/watch the diet to counterbalance those booze cals. I'm not expecting any more double digit drops per month but I'd be delighted with 7 or 8 lbs per month until I hit goal.....by early June hopefully (10 year wedding anniversary!).

    Anyway, that's quite enough of my musings....have a great week everyone!!!!

    Struggles/successes this week: got a workout in everyday this past week thanks to a good start. A new friend encouraged me to "never miss a Monday" and start the week off right. I even allowed my self to enjoy some craft beers (guilty pleasure) after a 7 mile hike and not feel guilty. Hoping to keep the momentum and good feelings going through the next week.
