Slow and steady

Ive been here before. I am getting older and have had a revelation that quick fixes may get you at your goal quickly but they do NOT last. I'm tired of the yo-yo thing so I have taken all the pressure off myself and am allowing myself to do this slowly but steadily. I started this yo-yo when I was 16 year old and now that I am more than double that, I see all the wasted effort to do it quickly instead of the correct way. If I can encourage any younger person to just take the time to do it correctly you won't end up at this same spot years from now. It just took me a bit longer to realize this. So slowly and steadily here we go!!

First I have tried to see if I eat because I'm bored or sad or angry. I learned I am an emotional eater. When I'm tired I choose bad things too. If you try to eat balanced it seems to take the cravings away(at least for me it does). I have also learned that change starts in your mind. I tell myself that I am worth eating right and that I can have treats now and then just not always. Hey I haven't mastered this thing yet. If you just get through today and follow myfitnesspal and exercise when you get up the next day, just worry about that day. Don't look at the big picture, live in today.0
