my name is Jenna and I am a type 1 Diabetic looking to get control of my body. Today was my first day back in the gym after almost 9 years, and for the first time I really loved to be sweating. I felt happy and radiant. Of course, I was the brightest shade of red you could imagine. I am looking forward to getting to know people and hopefully finding someone to be an encourager to and will encourage me, too.

Hi Jenna. I'm sorry to hear you have type 1 diabetes. I have type two. I have really noticed, since I started counting my calories, my numbers have dropped down between 118 and 160. That unheard of for me. I have an appointment to see a specialist in a few days to put me on insulin. I don't think I have to go on it yet. Good luck with the gym and I hope this makes a big difference in your numbers. Best of luck to you.0

Thanks, I grew up with a Diabetic grandmother and knowing that our family history dictated I would have it. But, I am doing good and am now working on getting even better.0

congratulations on making steps towards a healthier future. This is definitely the place to come to get your blood sugar under control. Whenever you eat, just log your food right away and you will see exactly how you are doing and where you can improve. Then join some of the groups on here and stay accountable. The Macros mini challenge is a good place to stay accountable with your sugar intake. By the way, if you haven't checked them out, go join one of the Biggest Loser Teams. We are just now finishing up on week 6 and will be starting a new 6 week challenge very soon. I am on Team Teal. We won last week's challenge. Not bragging, but we are AWESOME!!! Lisa Child is our team leader. She has really helped me stay on track with my weight loss goal. I joined the team and do some mini challenges, daily and weekly challenges and get points for each thing I am able to complete. It helps me stay on task, because I know my other team mates are counting on me to pull big numbers, and not just on the scale. To find us, go to the community tab, scroll down when the page loads, click on Biggest Loser and find Team Teal.0
