the calorie burn for 60 min yoga is only 150 on MFP. i am wondering if anyone has used a fitbit or other device to measure for a real tough power class.

I'd put it in the realm of medium-intensity calisthenics or something like bodyflow (which actually has an entry in the mfp database)0

I wear my HRM when I do my YoPi workouts and get about 95-100 calories for 50 minutes. The Fitbit won't be useful for the yoga class as it only measures steps (or arm movements!) and not the whole action.0

I have never done it personally, but if you Google similar topics, many people have. For how hard it feels like you are exerting yourself in yoga classes (even hot power), it's a pretty normal level of calories burned. Based upon the little bit of research I did the MFP calculation of 150/hr is pretty reasonable.0

HRMs won't be accurate either as they are for steady state cardio. For yoga, figure around 200-300 per hour.
