Something I have noticed lately is that now that I'm getting more serious into heating healthier foods and normal portions, I am having a harder time eating more than 1200 calories. Sometimes I don't even reach that. I'm trying to teach myself portion control (doing a pretty good job so far) and trying to save money by not eating out a lot and cooking at home. When I do cook at home, I barely (if even) reach 1200 calories. Though when I do eat out I generally eat way more than what I should be eating.

Heck Yeah!! PB rocks!
Shoot for higher calorie foods. Play around in MFP doing "What if" with your foods.0 -
Why are you eating 1,200 calories? That is far too low for a male.0

Plan your day ahead. And stop starving yourself. 1200 is barely enough for a sedentary female.0

Yes, snack on some pecans or almonds, etc. Also add some avocado! Good healthy fats and don't forget to add your oils as part of your diary. And I agree with the others, 1200 is too low for a male.0

What does it work out as as a weekly average?
I tend to under eat during the week so I can have free range at weekends...average works out at about 1400 cals a day.0 -
