So, I definitely need more songs to add to my workout playlist.

Right now, it consists of:
1. Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N Roses
2. Mambo #5 - Lou bega
3. Burn it Down - AWOLNATION
4. I Stand Alone - Godsmack
5. Uptown Funk - Bruno Mars
6. Greenback Boogie - Ima Robot
7. Water and Power - Cold War Kids
8. Black Sheep - Gin Wigmore
9. Revolution - Kopek
10. Gettin' Over You - David Guetta

Any suggestions of similar or totally different genres? :-)

I'm more of Classical type person, especially for when I workout (mainly cause I can't sing and if the music has words I WILL sing).

    My Playlist mainly consists of:
    Vitamin String Quartet
    Trans-Siberian Orchestra (Beethoven's Last Night)
Lindsey Stirling (I love her music)

I try to make sure there's variety in the music I listen to though. Vitamin String Quartet has a classical feel but they play modern music. Trans-Siberian is kind of like a modern Beethoven really, but with a lot of electric guitar. And Lindsey Stirling is a violinist that composes a lot of her own music but it has a techno feel to it too. So I have a little bit of light and airy, a touch of classical rock, and a nice blend of modern classical all mushed together to make my playlist.

BTW: @DragonLadyLiz I love your playlist and if I could sing I would so use it when I workout lol.

Hardstyle gets me unbelievably pumped for and during weight lifting every single time. I can't listen to anything else, it doesn't push me through!

My workout playlist consists of rock music, although, I like other genres, too. I need the hard-driving songs to keep me going.

    Red Hot Chili Peppers
Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators
    Goo Goo Dolls
    Velvet Revolver
    Stone Temple Pilots
    Led Zeppelin

    About 300 songs.

    That's a good one.

  • I'm a country music gal....lots of Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Chase Rice, Sam Hunt, Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line. My favorite song at the moment is by Clare Dunn, "Cowboy Side of You". It has a great driving beat.

I use Spotify to find workout music, you can search "workout" for different types of music to help you get through a workout. I usually scour through a spotify playlist to find songs that I like to add to my own workout playlist. It is free to use on a phone or tablet, but you have ads about every 4th song. You may want to check it out if you haven't already.

SO MUCH THIS. I love throwing 90s rap onto my running playlists.

I'm more of a podcast listener while I work out-- I feel like I am learning something while also being entertained!
