Question! For the weaker wrists

I've always had a slight sting on the inner part of my wrists. Usually in the plank position or hanging from the pull up position.
Do muscles through the wrists strengthen over time enough to diminish the feeling? I've just begun sessions of yoga this week and they're awesome! I really feel the benefits! Just wondering if anybody has had the same issue and if it had gotten better with some time.
Thank you!
Hannah

You might want to get that checked, you could have some lingering injury or inflammation going on there. Joints and ligaments take forever to heal, but the good part is that usually exercise is just what will make them heal. It took me the most part of a year to heal my tennis elbow, so these things really don't happen overnight.
Anyway, any real work performed by your hands are powered by the muscles in your forearms. Exercise and stretching/massage/SMR for your forearms will probably help as well.0 -
I have very thin/ weak wrists. they hurt to do tricep dips. I have to turn my fingers out away from my body. I hope they can get stronger!0

I don’t have enough information to know if you’re dealing with an injury or just muscular usage. Since it is both wrists, I will go with muscular.
The short answer to your question is, “yes.” It probably has more to do with mobility and muscular endurance. Some people use wrist wraps to address this, but I think it is better to train without them and improve the movement quality. Before you do an exercise you know is going to affect your wrists, do some stretching and mobility work. Over time, you should be able to do more weight/time.
