Worried about eating out

ive been eating super clean since Monday and have lost 5lbs! Tomorrow I'm going out to eat at an Indian restaurant and am so scared it'll ruin me and make me gain weight. Every time we go there I leave disgusting stuffed. feeling discouraged.

Eat until full, not stuffed. Get back to logging tomorrow. One day of eating at a restaurant is not going to put back on all your lost weight. Most of all, enjoy.0

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you've only been at this since Monday, at least 4 1/2 of those pounds are water weight....so don't get discouraged if you experience a much slower rate of loss next week!
As for eating out, pick healthier options and go easy on the naan (it's very calorie dense!). Eat slowly and enjoy your food while paying attention to your body, you'll know when you're full. If it is one of those restaurants where the portions are huge, ask for a box at the beginning of the meal and box up half of your plate. That way you won't be tempted to overeat.
Most of all, enjoy your evening out and make sure it is just an occasional thing0 -
One trick I've found is to get a salad size plate rather than a dinner plate at the buffet... we tend to clear our plates, which is a visual and psychological cue that we're done eating. Smaller plate means smaller portions, which means fewer calories. Still hungry, get a little more, but you won't be as likely to have that over-eating bloated feeling afterward. Also, rice expands - I find if I bypass the rice, it saves calories and I don't feel as bloated.
(EDIT - You didn't mention if it was a buffet dinner. That's typically the only time we eat Indian food and my mind went there automatically. When ordering from a menu, consider asking if they offer half-size or lunch size portions.)0 -

I agree with queen.
Here are few things that helped me
Before you go out have an healthy snack like salad.
When it comes to Italian food I would stick to seafood. Shrimp and Scallops are very low in calories.
I would stay away from cream sauces. Whole wheat pasta and eat half the portion. Stay away from bread as tempting as it is. Check out the menus before heading out.
When it comes to dining out it does take a little planing.
Share a desert. I always share a desert with my wife.
I love food and I have a terrible sweet tooth lol

That's everyone. I'm going to listen to my body. Something I clearly never did before I started eating clean. I will leave content not stuffed0

I love Indian Food. Avoid the samosas (unfortunately) and anything fried. Go light on the naan. Indian Food is mostly made without meat so there are a ton of delicious veggie options usually- I would just try to get one without cheese. I promise, there are so many yummy spices you won't think about eating a vegetable dish! And I agree about watching portions- if it is anything like my local Indian place I could eat the leftovers for three days0
