Away for 2 years, put weight back on. I am back! Any similar stories?

Hi all! I originally joined here back in 2011 and went from 230lbs down to 183! I went from Couch Potato to Marathon Runner but after running my 2 marathons in 2012 my motivation dropped and guess what? The weight crept back on!

I have since got married and had a baby (yay!) which didn't help my diet and exercise regime and I went back to a massive 222lbs! (the horror!) After I finished my holiday in New York about a week and a half ago I have eaten clean and 4.5lbs have been lost! I now hope to keep it going and make it sustainable this time! For any old friend - please add me back (if you forgive me!) and I would appreciate any new friends for motivation and support. MFP helped me a lot last time!

All the best

Erik

Wish you well! You've been through this once I'm sure you can do it a second time! I would be on and off a different program similar to this, but would get bored of it and it's glitches! So now I am her trying out myFitnessPal and so far I think it's great! I love that it's detailed and motivates you by telling you a weight suggestion if you keep eating the way you do! Don't give up we all have our ups and downs and you have already done the first big step which is to get back in the game! ;)

Welcome back, I am a repeat offender also.. lol been back in the game for a bit now, but a slow loser. If you want to add me, would love to offer support. I am here daily. :)
  • I lost a ton of weight about 2 years ago and was so happy with myself. Well I met my boyfriend and we went out to eat and then when we moved in together we made and ate these completely ridiculous meals and just started packing pounds on. I changed my job and became more sedentary.

So yeah I'm on that boat with you. It can be done!! We both did it once and we can lose it again! That might sound a little corny but it's true, I've yoyo-ed my weight all my life and I know I can take it back off and you can too.
  • I was on 2 years ago as well. Then I had a baby and gained a bunch of weight back. I lost all of my progress. Now that the baby is almost 2 and I can actually have a little time for myself I'm starting over. I could use any friends any motivation people want to give!
