Based on your age, this is where you should log off this site, and go discuss healthy eating and healthy lifestyle habits with your dr. An 18 year old with a bit of weight to lose considering keto and interminant fasting on top, if you were my kid, I would insist you talk to a specialist and rely less on dr google and internet forums. And no, I am not saying these things are in general dangerous or evil, but this is where age matters.

Our bodies are designed for fasting...adding fat during times of plenty and using the fat in times of famine. The problem is, we never experience famine.
There is a wealth of information on the benefits of fasting. I have been adding a day or two of fasting each week for the last 30 days, where I have @ 200 calories for a 22-24 hour period (not consecutive days).
Fasting has boosted my energy level (strangely enough), but more importantly, it focuses my mind and and strengthens my will to maintain goals.

I did it for several weeks recently. 36 hours 3-4 days a week (alternate day fasting).

But this week I'm getting a lot more exercise and enjoying high energy levels, so now I'm eating once a day on some days and on other days I've had one big meal and maybe some coconut oil in my coffee or two ounces of cheese for the rest of the day. This seems to be my natural eating pattern on low carb. Rarely do I feel any need to have two substantial meals. I don't mind waiting a few hours to eat breakfast and going to bed a little hungry and I seem to feel better doing this.

Dont do it on purpose. With keto, it happens naturally. I last ate 15 hours ago, and with just a little coffee and hwc this morning, I am not very hungry.

Also dont do it for weight loss. Jimmy Moore and Dr Eric Westman, co-authors of Keto Clarity, states that it will not really help you lose weight if it is forced. Do it for the peripheral health benefits.
