i just started doing some weight lifting, basic stuff like squats and lunges with 5-10 lb weights, as well as some tricep stuff but I can't seem to figure out a way to log it and see calories burned. Any tips?

Under the cardiovascular tab/heading, search for:
Strength training (weight lifting, weight training)
If you log it under weightlifting, it won't give you calories burned.
It still doesn't give you much of a credit, bit at least it's something.0 -
I don't log my strength training except when I do a particularly long and intense workout. While you can put down a generic amount of time doing it, I don't know of a way to be very accurate. Since I always pair strength training with cardio I just log the cardio, make sure I fuel properly, and treat the strength portion as a freebie. There are foods that I know aren't spot on either even though I do weight and measure to a point, so I know any variance is covered by my squats.0
