I am on a roll.

Positive mental attitude all the way. I had a week in Spain for work and gained, but lost it the week after. plus another 2 lbs.

I am strong in the head this time, and tracking everything really helps. Just being able to scan a barcode and all the nutritional info is all there is superb.

Thanks MFP.....

Envious, If I were in Spain for a week I would gain a ton, plus would never come back, I love Spain!!!!

You might call it cheating, but I call it a jump start - shakes.....
It's not the solution for the long term, but I had reached the point of always having joint pain and on the verge of requesting help from my doctor for sleep apnea.
I use will power to deny myself, punish myself for all the years of food abuse.
I'm down to iro 1600 kcal/ day, and I don't have days off (every day was a day off for years) My Mrs has been trying hard with slimming world for the last 3 years and it has taught her some new recipes for dinners which have helped.
Unfortunately she doesn't have the will power and gives in to chocolate and biscuits. She always puts some in front of me too. I think, so it doesn't make her feel so guilty. I just have to factor in for these occasions.

I'm going all the way this time, down to a size that is more healthy. I haven't started exercising properly and regularly yet... so I should be able to lose 100lbs with some real commitment.
  • Good stuff mate. How did you lose 18pds in one month. Was that with just diet or diet and exercise?

Whatever works for you. Just bear in mind that although weight loss is fast maintenance is very hard. You mentioned it is just to kick start your weight loss, that's ok, but you should start eating properly soon, that will help you so much towards keeping the weight off later.
Congratulations on the 18 lbs lost. It's a very nice number :)

Just diet - a new exercise regime is just around the corner....
Having 100+lb to lose, this is going to be a long slog. Maintenance is going to be difficult as it will require me to change my eating habits permanently - not looking forward to that point.
