No. It is much healthier to lose weight in a sensible and sustainable way. The only way to lose that fast is straightforward not eating anything, which really isn't good for you, isn't sustainable, and you'll get saggy skin.0

The only way I did that was on the lighter life diet, which is basically food supplements (Shakes and Soups and after a week bars) I really wouldn't reccommend it! I did it for about 2.5 months and lost 3 stone... but piled it straight back on again within 3 - 4 months and I as still exercising etc!
It does make you feel good, but I'm not sure how healthy it is etc etc.
I personally wouldn't recommend it, but if you did want to do it, and want advice, you can talk to me!
Unfortunately I went to Vegas and fell off the wagon of not eating or drinking when I passed out in a hotel coz it was soo hot, I wasn't hungry at all and skipped shakes and stuff.

You can lose 8lbs no problems, that's half a stone, and you'll notice a difference even with that.0

I have lost that, but I was following MFP suggestions on calories & eating back all of my exercise calories! I had it set for 1lb a week weight loss. I've lost 30lbs since March 1st, a little more than 2 months, but close! I cut out soda completely, but otherwise, just make healthier choices. I haven't starved myself or denied myself anything if I wanted it. I've not used any artificial sweeteners in anything either. Not sure what's made the difference. I'm 32yrs old & have a very sendentary desk job. Even my workouts have been sporadic & here & there due to flooding & sporting events for my kids! Enjoy the cruise! )0

It's totally up to you how and how fast you lose weight, because in your mind you know what you want to do.
But my method this time is Slowly but Surely and the big one = LIFESTYLE CHANGE not just a mod diet!0 -
Roughly 15 weeks to go means roughly 15-30lbs of weight loss.
If you are truly set and serious about this, I suggest you visit your dr or a gym to determine your weight and your actual bodyfat %. Once you have those you can set a realistic calorie goal. You may not be able to lose 2lbs per week based on lean muscle mass - most guys can because we have much more muscle so we burn cals faster even at rest, but 1lb a week? Absolutely.0 -
Ok, I see you all referring to "stones." What are stones?0
