This might sound incredibly silly, but something that has really been helping me is keeping positive on a daily basis. I would encourage everyone else who is struggling to give it a try! Tell yourself positive things about your looks, compliment your positive qualities and characteristics, and acknowledge healthy decisions. I'm serious!. If you constantly beat yourself up and put yourself down, I can assure you, this journey will be way more difficult.

So, what is something positive you can tell yourself today - that you actually believe and can feel proud to say. Post it below and let the positivity begin!!

Don't believe me? Check out these articles!

Those eight things to avoid saying that they mention in that article are

    1. “I was so bad today.”
    2. “I shouldn’t be eating this.”
    3. “I can’t have that.”
    4. “I blew it.”
    5. “I’ll start over on Monday.”
    6. “I deserve this.”
    7. “I can’t help it, I’m addicted to sugar.”
    8. "I simply can't control my appetite."

Overall, I agree that the mental aspects of weightloss and exercise are hugely important to long-term success and adherence. I think this list covers a lot of items that may be traps, not necessarily always, but certainly items to watch out for.

you might also think about the habits of success:

It's not silly at all, it's so true. Sometimes I struggle with it, but overall, I'm winning the battle :-) Not so much with my eating anymore, but with lifting. Thanks for the reminder!
