tonight i went over my cals by 350, i am currently having 1330 a day and my maintenance cals are 1530. i was under my cals yesterdAY and the day before. Does this counteract things and cause less weight gain? I am currently at my goal weight. However if i ever go over i feel really guilty xx

Caloric fluctuations are healthy, and a good idea at times. If you are at your goal weight, you should be eating around your maintenance anyway.

IMO, going over your cal goal is not disastrous . . . unless you do that every day. I've had "blow out" days which will cost me a pound or two, but the following week I'm careful to stick with my numbers and I can make up for it. Be careful about depriving yourself or going way under your goals, or your body will go into "starvation mode."

zigzagging is not a bad idea.... basically you eat different amounts of calories on different days (just dont go overboard)... this may stimulate your metabolism...... like 1200 monday, 1400 tuesday, 1100 wednesday, 1600 thursday, etc etc...... it should all add up to the same amount you'd eat all week anyway, just staggering it out a bit...
