Breastfeeding didn't help me lose too much weight at first. I started watching what I ate and trying to be under 1700 calories and the weight slowly came off (about 15 lbs in 6 months). It wasn't until I added exercise that the weight came off quicker. Then when I stopped I had to figure out my new calorie expenditures which resulted in about a 2-3 month stall in weight loss. Keep logging...it's the best way to see what you need to do good luck and congratulations!

I'm breastfeeding too! This is my 3rd son and he is 4 months. I was somewhat close to my goal weight before we got pregnant again. Feels like I'm starting over because I gained a bunch with this pregnancy. I'm wanting to lose about 45 lbs!

Running helped me when I was losing weight while breastfeeding. I had a c-section, so I really went from walking sloooowly to walking regular to walking faster and eventually running. Also, maybe replace the food with something healthier like water and cut up fruit? I did the laying down method to breastfeed and would watch tv series or movies to pass the time and then tried to get out of the house and walk or jog. Being away from the house or at the park meant I wasn't mindlessly eating at home.

I've been eating smaller amounts keeping an eye on portion control and cutting out the junk got into a bad habit of the last feed before bed setting down with a cuppa tea and half a packet of custard creams can't get out much as hubby works a lot and I've school runs then by the time I've the house work done it's time to pick him up kept on my toes all day so hopefully I'll lose a bit without noticing basically with portion control and not sitting down until I'm actually falling asleep lol. Good luck ladies guess baby's what's important atm and they don't stay small long :)
