If you aren't familiar with the couch to 5k program you should try it.

Hey! I can help you with that. I now run 4 miles, walk 4 miles multiples times a week. I went from being a treadmill runner to an outside runner. The biggest thing is to start, pick a point that's at least .8 miles to a mile away(use a GPS). If that's too far, try .5 mile. If you can't run, then walk. On your next run, find a point just beyond that whether it's .2 miles or however far you wanna go and go(keep in mind you have to go back to the starting point). U continue this process until u reach 3.1. When you do, you will feel ready for any 5k and accomplished.
  • I've been on the treadmill for the past week I walk a minute run 2 when the weather warms I can get outside I can't wait for that
