i want yall's advice..i burned off about 1000 calories today raking leaves in the yard..i still managed to eat ( will later for dinner ) just over 1200 cals as suggested, but i still have about 1500 calories left over..question is, i don't think i will be able to eat much more after dinner, but is having that many left over ok, or do i need to find something else to take my cals down more ? thanks guys

from what I know from other people asking this same question you need to eat all your calories or at least as many as you can. Good luck!0

Hi Leomom72,
You don't have to be concerned with eating all the calories that you have allocated. The ones that you "bank" are the ones that contribute to your weight loss. What you want to be concerned with is that you're eating close to your original allocation so that you're getting enough nutrition i.e. carbs, fat and protein to keep your body's metabolism fed. The calories burned during exercise are a bonus. Don't feel that you have to eat because you have the calories to spare, but make sure you eat enough to feed your body's metabolism. If by doing this you're losing 2-3lbs per week, you're doing what works.
Keep up the good work.

@ winwin, i am eating my 1200+ cals a day..i made my daily goal 1750, so i remind myself to keep the extra 500, and not over eat.
@ fmeisele, i don't think i can eat much more tonight, maybe a small snack like apple or something later, but i won't FORCE myself to eat more if im not hungry...i just wanted to know if it was safe to burn that much and not eat more, or if it was better for my body
thank you both, i appreciate the input0
