14 lbs. in 1 month (3.5 lbs. per week)? Wow! How overweight are you? Did you go on an all-liquid diet?

Well it's not uncommon to lose a lot of weight the first few weeks as it will be mostly water.

But we need more information. Height, weight, age, workout routine, if you use a food scale and can you open your diary?

She says she only has 25 lb to go, so 40 lb total.
14 lb in 1 month isn't healthy, or sustainable, with so little to lose.

OP, go read this blog post, especially the link to sexypants, and then the link to the post about realistic goal setting (weight, calories, macros).

Maybe your body is just in shock.
Figure out a healthy goal weight (in the green range on that BMI chart in the goal setting post), eat 10x that in calories to get there, exercise at least 30 minutes per day.
If you eat 250 cal/day under what you need to maintain your current weight, you should lose 0.5 lb per week, which is reasonable, healthy, & sustainable with only 25 lb left to lose.
If you're eating less than you need to maintain that weight, you will lose weight. You have to, because science.
Weigh &/or measure everything you eat. Most likely you are eating more than you think.
Ignore exercise calories. Most likely, the machines (including MFP) are overestimating calories burned.

stalls are going to happen.. just keep at it... take your focus off thee weight and switch it to some physical goals... how far, how fast, how much... increase those metrics and keep with your caloric deficit and you will get where you want to be

you should open your diary. we can't help you unless we know what and how much you're eating.
