I had my third baby 7 weeks ago and I am really anxious to lose the baby weight. I nurse exclusively and I am wondering if anyone had guidance on how to safely cut calories. I want to lose as much as possible as quickly as possible but I don't want to cut my milk supply. Also, signs to look for that my milk Supply is depleting. Thank you in advance

Breastfeeding is listed somewhere under "exercises", I believe. Log that and eat back those extra calories. These will keep your supply from depleting and your body nourished. You will lose weight in a healthy manner.

You can log breastfeeding as food and it will give you negative calories on your log. I'd be careful about cutting too many calories now. I really feel like it takes a solid three months to get your milk supply well established.

When you are ready Id just plan to eat at maintnece without logging the breastfeeding and that will create your 500 calorie per day deficit.

Just take your time. I'm a big believer in the nine months on nine months off. Be patient with your body, it is doing amazing things!

I focused on building my muscle mass instead. Breastfeeding took care of my calorie deficit. Hope this helps!

    This!
I would also talk to your OB/GYN about embarking on weight loss while breastfeeding. If they give the ok, I would slowly drop your intake down to ensure that your supply isn't being affected.
