Hi, I currently have a Polar F6 that is great for calories and heart monitoring, but I am looking for something to track my running while outside. Also, is there anything that can track while cycling? And maybe even swimming? I've heard of some problems for phones however I don't have that technology as of now. Is there a device someone could recommend for me.

Thanks

Well I'm not sure about 'devices' but I use RunKeeper.com to track my distances when running and swimming.

I have a Garmin 305 watch/hrm that I got from Costco - I haven't tried the HRM but the GPS for outside works great. It is not recommended in the pool but there is an attachment you can get to time wheel revolutions on a bike.

Garmin Forerunner is the device to use! I have the 410, and it's AMAZING! It's not meant for biking (although you can get a cycling accessory), or swimming, but they DO make a triathlon one as well....It's the Garmin Forerunner 310XT....

It's not cheap, but it's fantastic, from what I've read!

I've used the Garmin 405 for tracking distance and time and recently added the HRM. All have worked very well through the multiple different activities and terrains. I think the HRM does not work while swimming. Biking and running absolutely.

Another vote for Garmin. They have a brand new model coming out (610), so lots of guys like me will buy it and look to ditch our 405/305/205 on ebay or craigslist.

The Garmin Forerunner 305 is $150 at Coscto, not cheap but not way up there like some of the other models.
