Oh man, I have tons! Here are a few faves:
For lifting: New Rules of Lifting for Women
For cardio: blogilates has tons of fun ones
For circuit-training: Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30 and the Purely Twins (all awesome for when I want to get a super tough workout done fast)0 -
Stronglifts 5x5 is by far my favorite workout. Its simple, its effective, and it can be catered to just about anyone. Also the app is nice.
For Cardio, I golf. walking 18 holes can burn up to 1300 calories0 -
Since you said DVD or free online.. I really like the STRONGER series of workout videos lately. Totally free. Just ignore the fact that they're hosted on Livestrong.com

Also - no need to sign up for their website. Just bookmark the page
ETA: Why? Because they're challenging but not insanely difficult or time consuming like Insanity or P90X, and because they provide a pretty well-rounded workout if you can't get to the gym (I do mine in my 2nd floor apartment).1 -

DVD: T25 or Insanity Max 30 (I'm only 2 weeks in, but so far it kicks butt)
Youtube: I really like BodyFit By Amy's kettlebell workout (once I get my TRX, I'm going to try her TRX videos), RealFitTV's HIIT Bosu workout, and Autumn Calabrese's Sexy Booty workout 9it's like 8-10 minutes).
(I also like my kettlebell and spin class. I know you said DVD/free online, but at the moment the workout I look forward to the most is my spin class. It's punishing, but I feel so accomplished afterwards).
All of them are difficult and I always feel like I'm moving forward towards my goals after I've completed them.0 -
My favorite isn't a DVD or online, but I did recently try a Zumba DVD and liked it. Very fun. I can't stream except after midnight so I haven't tried any online.0

The workout that requires my full attention, challenges me physically, and leaves me super sore the next day. I get bored easily....I mix it up like crazy!0

mine is good ole walking even when its raining. I do the elliptical and 21 day fix but love walking.0

i used to do p90x over a year ago and really liked the kenpo workout ib how it works all your muscles in one session. i'm thinking of starting up zumba kickboxing when the new year rolls around.0

Mine is dancing. I have several DVD's and The Michael Jackson experience. It's not as effective as running, but it doesn't make me dread the workout.0

Same! I'm on week 9 of p90x lean. Kenpo is my favourite. I get super bored if my workouts aren't diverse enough. You get awesome results from it too. You can do different versions of the program too, like lean, regular or doubles. So you have a bunch of options. I bought mine on craigslist for cheap.
I also downloaded Sworkit Pro for circuit training/hiit cardio. Idk if you wanted apps, but it kicks *kitten*. You can customize your intervals as you wish. 20minutes and you're soaked head to toe. And I like pocket yoga for my "rest days"0 -
I love leg day. Deadlifts or Squats. I'm all in. Give me all the plates.0
