Hey everyone! Any care to share recipes for easy healthy and cheap meals? I'm no master chef by any standards, so they need to be easy. Also, does anyone know of an app for Android that helps with meal planning AND creates a grocery list?

Baked Parmesan Crusted Tilapia~ This is soooo easy to make & healthy & the only cost is the fish. Other ingredients are minimal. Everyone who isn't even sure if they like fish, asks for the recipe after they try this. You can also substitute the mayo for light and is just as good. Veggie Quiches. So easy to make, cheap since it's just eggs and whatever veggies or meats/cheese you have handy. So many variations can be tried depending on vegetables you have available and a few more calories if you sprinkle in some ham or turkey sausage or bacon etc. if you wanted to. Thought of for you since it is super easy as its all mixed in one bowl & then cooked simply in muffin pans. As for the app, I used to use ZipList... It's easy to store recipes, and then add items to a grocery list. Unfortunately it's no longer available (and my fiance and I split grocery shopping and he won't use it).

A way that worked for me was using the app sidechef (www.sidechef.com). You can select recipes according to length and style there and cook 'em step-by-step.0

Japanese bbq marinated turkey meatballs w/ any vegetables. Ground turkey 93/7, marinade can be whichever you prefer. Simple, fast, and delicious!0

i'm no help with apps, but have some recipe suggestions (though for some of these the word recipe is a bit of a stretch...but it's what i usually make!)
beans and rice/quinoa/farro/etc: get your grains going while you do the beans (cook according to package directions). for the beans, chop an onion and 1-2 bell peppers. grab a big pot, put a glug or two of olive oil in the bottom, put the onions in, let them get soft. then add bell peppers and let those go for a couple minutes. meanwhile, drain and rinse 2 cans of beans (or 1 can plain beans, 1 can refried beans), drain a can of diced tomatoes, and if you like you can drain a can of corn. add all your beans and tomatoes (and corn) and a bunch of seasonings that you like (my seasonings include some salt + pepper, hot sauce or chipotles in adobo sauce, cilantro, cumin, paprika and whatever else i have on hand). let this all get happy in the pot for 10-15 min or longer if you feel like it and serve over rice or quinoa or whatever you like. this could probably work in the crockpot too.
with the beans i'll often just throw in whatever vegetable is in the fridge and needs to be used, so add whatever you like!

^^this pairs well with sauteed kale and makes for a nice dinner!
panko honey mustard salmon: preheat oven to 400F. lay salmon filets skin side down on oiled/sprayed cookie sheet, put a bit of honey mustard salad dressing on each filet or dijon mixed with honey (i used ken's lite honey mustard dressing), spread it around so it thinly coats the surface. mix panko with a bit of salt, pepper, garlic powder and parsley flakes, press panko mix onto the honey mustard to form a crust. spray tops lightly with olive oil/cooking spray. put salmon in oven for 13-15min.
baked tofu: drain and pat extra firm tofu dry, cut into cubes and pat dry again. mix soy sauce, sriracha, ginger paste, rice vinegar, and a bit of honey in a bowl. add tofu to the bowl and toss in the marinade, let it sit for 10 min. preheat oven to 400F. line a cookie sheet with tinfoil and spray with olive oil or whatever nonstick spray you have. put tofu cubes on cookie sheet and spread them out so they are not touching. put in over for 15ish minutes, or until they are browned on the edges.
^^I also eat this with sauteed kale, or stir fried broccoli or other veggies
dont-want-to-think pasta: boil pasta, add frozen veggies (i usually go for broccoli, but do one you like) to pasta pot 1 min before it's done, let it come back to a boil, drain, add some cottage or ricotta cheese and sauce and you're done. adjust amounts of pasta/veggies/cheese/sauce to fit your macro goals.
roasted any vegetable: preheat oven to 400F. take your vegetable of choice and cut into bite size pieces, toss with olive oil and salt/pepper/garlic, put on cookie sheet and cook in oven for 20 min or so....until things are nice and caramelized on the edges and cooked through (this works with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, potatoes)
crockpot stew: buy the CHEAPEST cut of meat you can find and cut into chunks or just buy precut stew meat. some people sear the meat in a pan first, which gives a nice flavor, but i'm too lazy. into your crockpot goes: the meat, 1-2 onions coarsely chopped, 2-3 smashed garlic cloves, a bag of baby carrots, seasonings of your choice (parsley, pepper, paprika are all good, salt will come from the stock and can always be adjusted at the end), and a 1:1 mix of water with beef or chicken stock to cover all the stuff in the pot by an inch or so. cook on low for 6-8 hours. cook some rice or barley and for the last 30 min of cooking if you like that.
you could also swap the water for beer or add in some parsnips.0
